Deck submitted by Nick "Turtlepower" Sim
This deck takes the late game power that the WOTOG expansion brought forth while also taking advantage of the extremely strong early and mid game cards from GVG.
There are no 1 drops in this deck as Lay on Hands and possibly Harrison are it's only draw -
so you might have to rely on topdecking eventually (don't want to topdeck a 1 drop when game is
about even). The quality of the 1 drops are not good, don't feel any warrant a spot in this deck.
Hence mulligan is usually for 2, 3, 4 drops of which deck has an abundance. Haunted Creeper
and Coghammer is very strong, while Shielded Minibot and Muster for Battle is some of the best
2 and 3 drops in the game. Following up, deck has Shredders on turn 4, Loatheb or Sludge
Belchers on turn 5, Cairne or Sylvannas on turn 6, Dr Boom on turn 7, then Sneed or Tirion
on turn 8, and finally N'zoth on turn 10.
Deck has powerful tools to deal with opponent's board like double Equality, Consecration,
Aldor Peacekeeper and Keeper of Uldaman. There are also a couple of tech cards in
Harrison (anti weapon, card draw) and Loatheb (anti spells). Harrison and Loatheb are good
sized minions by themselves also, 5/4 or 5/5 for 5mana is decent.
Huge Toad is chosen ahead Knife Juggler as it is a deathrattle minion(Nzoth synergy) and also
the 3attack useful to challenge 1/3 one drops like mana wyrm, northshire cleric, Doom Walker,
and tunnel trog.
There are no Truesilvers as there are 4 weapons (2 Light's Justice from Muster for Battle, 2 Coghammers) already and the 4 mana slot filled by consecration, shredders, and uldaman already. Double coghammer also gives much need taunt and divineshield useful too!.
Nzoth is very powerful in this deck compared to Standard version with addition of Haunted
Creepers, Shredders, and Sludge. Including the 2 Boom Bots from Dr Boom, there are a total
of 13 minions which can be summoned by N'Zoth, hence board will be very strong once N'Zoth
is played. It is good to summon taunts like Sludge Belchers along with Tirion when you play the
10mana Nzoth as it buys you some breathing space to possible deal lethal the following turn.
Even a full board clear like Twisting Nether on an "Nzothed" board leaves some board behind
due to the deathrattles.
Tried Forbidden Healings, but card does not fit into this deck. Usually it only delays the game
if losing and often they are often dead cards if ahead or even.
